Herefordshire Tree Forum Notice


The following events will be taking place at Queenswood and in Hereford and Leominster. (There are also other events being held elsewhere - for the full list please click on the link below).

Saturday 25th November 9.30 – 4pm Tree Week info stall in High Town Hereford
Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and Herefordshire Tree Wardens will be available throughout the day to share information on tree related issues & wildlife, h.Trees events and activities and the recently formed Hereford City Branch of the Wildlife Trust.

Sunday 26 November, 2–4 pm Woodland Walk at Moreton Wood, Ullingswick, HR1 3JQ

Sunday 26th November from 3:30–5pm An Ash Dieback Forum at Leominster Community Centre, HR6 8NJ.
Free Event. An update on Chalara and developing UK responses. Short presentations followed by a panel discussion with David Griffiths – Woodland Trust - local Chalara update; Jon Stokes – Tree Council – National Strategy? Monday 27th November Hereford City Digital Tree Mapping Presentation
with David Lovelace and Nic Howes. 7-9 pm De Koffee Pot, Left Bank, Hereford HR4 9DG. Funded by Hereford City Council, the City’s trees are being mapped and logged digitally by a growing team of community volunteers . Come along and find out more and how to get involved in this ‘citizen science’ project open to all. For more info 07710-715235.

Throughout and beyond Tree Week come and interact with The Biophilic Wishing Tree at Queenswood Country Park, Dinmore Hill, Near Leominster, Herefordshire, HR6 0PY
Add to the love of life wishing tree and based on your responses to questions you will tie different coloured ribbons to the tree at Queenswood. This event is a New Leaf, h.Energy project run via the Queenswood and Bodenham Lake partnership (Herefordshire Wildlife Trust & New Leaf) to celebrate National Tree Week, the UK's largest tree celebration annually launching the start of the winter tree planting season.
