Bodenham Neighbourhood Development Plan - Referendum Result
The Referendum on the Bodenham Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) produced a resounding result in favour of Herefordshire Council using the NDP to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area. 424 votes (93.6%) were cast in favour and 29 votes (6.4%) against.

Planning Applications
The following planning applications were considered at the Parish Council Meetings on 3rd July and 6th August:

  • 181975: Land At Stone Farm, Felton. Proposed Residential Development Comprising 3 no. Self-Build Dwellings and Associated Work. The Parish Council made no response to this application, because the location is not in Bodenham.
  • 182296:Broadfield Court, Bowley Lane: Proposed Internal Alterations. The Parish Council made no objection to the application.
  • 182292: Grit Farm: New Pig Finishing Building. The Parish Council made no objection to this application.

    The New Playground (Update)
    By the time you read this the new playground should be up and running. The surface and all the equipment are new. There is a seat inside the playground for parents or grandparents.

    The A417……..
    …… is to be resurfaced between the junction with Ketch Lane and the junction with the C1125 and between Chapel Lane and Brockington Hall. New 40mph roundels with red backgrounds will also be installed in addition to the existing roundels. The Parish Council remains committed to improving road safety in Bodenham. Signage will also be improved on the C1125 and C1121 and gateways are planned for the A417 at both ends of the Village.

    Vacancies on the Parish Council (update)
    Cllr Dennis Jackson resigned in late June, creating a second vacancy on the Parish Council. However, both vacancies have since been filled by co-option. The new Councillors are Alec Avery and Tracy Morris, whose details appear in the list of Councillors below.
