Bodenham Parish Council Notice

Parish and County Council Elections.
Because nine nominations were received for the ten vacancies on Bodenham Parish Council, no election needs to be held on 2nd May, and the new Parish Council will be able to co-opt a tenth member at its next Meeting on Monday 13th May. The list of Councillors below comes into effect on that day.

Planning Applications
No planning applications were considered at the April Meeting of the Parish Council, because none had been received.

The Annual Parish Meeting………
……. is an opportunity for local groups and organisations to submit a report on their activities over the past year. The report can be presented at the Meeting, if desired. It will be entered for posterity in the Parish Council Minutes, which are always available on the Parish Website. The Parish Council encourages all groups and organisations to submit a report, which can be sent to the Parish Clerk (details below) as soon as possible, please, and no later than 10th May. The Meeting is on Monday 13th May, starting at 7pm.

Litter Pick
The proceeds from the latest Litter Pick - held on Saturday 23rd March - were not quite as successful as the record haul at the March 2018 Litter Pick. Nevertheless 20 bags of rubbish were collected - and the bags were larger than usual - plus sundry large items such as two diversion signs and a live shotgun cartridge, which has been handed in to the Police. A dead deer was also found and has been reported to Herefordshire Council. To see a photograph of the collected litter, apart from the last two items mentioned, please click on the ‘more details’ link at the bottom of this page.

The Parish Council wishes to thank the 28 volunteers, who, in alphabetical order, were: Sharon Avery, Gwen and Bob Bowden, Rebecca and Tim Burnill, Jasmin and Jodes Collins, Nina Dowler, John Duncan, Jennifer Easson, Chris Hemming, Robin George, Tom James-Moore, Louise Little, Susan and Andrew Maxwell, Tony Mitcheson, Tracy Morris, Nan Murdoch, Jenny Nicolson, Sue Pearmain, Debbie and Andrew Pound, Rhian Powell, Chris Smith, Anna, Jennifer, and Sally and Gareth. Apologies to anyone whose name doesn’t appear here or is incomplete. Let me know, if so, so that you can be properly credited next month. Thanks are also due to Babs Mitcheson for preparing the soup, bread rolls and coffee, and Balfour Beatty for providing the equipment and removing the rubbish. The next Litter Pick will be held on Saturday, 2nd November 2019.
