Bodenham Bowling Club Notice

BOWLING CLUB NEWS (NOVEMBER 2019)

The outdoor season for our Bowling Club is now over until late April 2020.

On Sunday, 13th October we held our Annual General Meeting and it was attended by 19 members.

The indoor league at Leominster is now underway and some of our members are supporting this.

A team made up of Ann Walters, Elsie Brisland, Freda Di Marco, Jean Fryer, Colin Walters, Derek Stockton, Eric Alldridge, Brian Gregory and our reserve player Nan Murdoch won the Tudor Rose Bowl (the Mayorís Charity Award) and our congratulations were offered to them all.

Over the season the Club has done well in both friendlies and the Menís League but we really would like to attract more members as on some occasions the Club Captain had to seek help from our opposition to make up the team. COULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN 2020? The Club meets on a Monday evening at the green within Siward James. We are a small friendly group and we have woods you can borrow, so only ask that you wear flat soled shoes to protect the green.

On Friday 8th November we are holding our Annual Awards Dinner at The Fishermanís Arms, Docklow and I look forward to seeing many of you there.

This is the last post from myself regarding the Bowling Club as Mr Bob Wilson agreed to taking over the role of Chair and Mrs Jean Fryer the role of Secretary from the close of the AGM.
