Bodenham and District Carers' Group Notice

At our April meeting Lisa Woakes from The Clever Betsy Project at ECHO in Leominster will be coming to tell us about the Project which is a project for adults who have learning disabilities who make amazing crafts.

The Project is always looking for oddments of wool, fabric and any other craft materials - so if you are having a de-cluttering session and have anything you think they could use, please save it. I'm happy to collect anything, or you can drop it in to me - but please email or phone first so I can make sure I'm in - majameshcl@gmail.com or 01568-797096.

The Group normally meets from 2.00pm Ė 3.30pm on the third Monday of each month at the Siward James Centre, HR1 3LS.

A Carer is someone who provides unpaid support to a family member, partner, child, friend or neighbour who may be ill, frail, elderly, have a disability or long-term health issue or mental health issues. If you care for a member of your family, a friend or neighbour, then you are a carer - why not come along and join us? Itís a very informal, supportive group and you donít have to come each time Ė drop in and out as you can.

We sometimes have speakers who may be helpful in your caring role; sometimes we just have interesting people on non-caring subjects, but always a cuppa, plenty of biscuits, a good chat, mostly a good laugh. Everything is completely confidential so itís also the opportunity to share difficulties.

If you would like to know more about us, please contact Margaret James either by email or phone Ė majameshcl@gmail.com or 01568-797096. (If you ring and get the answerphone, please do leave a message and Iíll get back to you Ė donít just hang up!)
