In addition, Bodenham Church will be open for private prayer and visiting every day. Marden Church is open for library access and prayer on Wednesdays between 1.30 and 3pm.

    In Brief

  • Marden Church have received Archdeacon’s approval for flood resilience works and quotations are being sought as a matter of urgency. Ongoing prayers requested!!

  • Please be on the lookout for sidespeople’s rotas at Bodenham over the coming week. Welcome and hospitality is a key part of our Christian faith and providing a friendly face at the church door is vital.

  • There will be an opportunity to welcome Natalie parish by parish at services throughout July – the first being at Bodenham next Sunday at 6pm.

  • Statues in Churches

There was a very interesting episode of The Long View on Radio Four this week. As a Church, we are currently reflecting the status of some of our monuments and memorials in the light of recent debates about empire, race and war. In this programme Jonathan Freedland went back to the Reformation of the 1500s to see what parallels and lessons it might offer.

If you missed it, you can “listen again” here:

    Can you knit or crochet?

Hereford Hospital is desperately in need of “angel baby” cribs and wraps for early pregnancy losses. If you can help or would like more information, please contact Rosie 01568 797863 / rose_roberts_arts@yahoo.co.uk

    Café at the Chapel
